The Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kamloops, British Columbia started as a Catholic Mission in 1876. It grew into a wooden framed building on the corner of Battle Street and 2nd Avenue in 1887, which burned down in 1919. It was replaced by the current Romanesque structure in 1921, located at Nicola St. and 3rd Ave.
